Think its a bit optimistic whats being said re MBC 25.5E, since I have a 1.2M dish in NORTH Lincs and currently get NO signal at all on MBC range of channels - but there was a little more in the summer months, but not strong enough to actually WATCH!
So I would go with Glenn on THIS occasion!:respect-069:

MBC = 58% stable picture with 1 mtr orbital in Wakefield,
where are you Halfax?
A quality dish and install is a must.

mbc should be ok on 1.2-1.5 depending on the dish lnb and sat tuner I use andrews 1.2 in n wales no problems used to pick mbc on nilesat 7w with andrews 1.8M

I have a 1.2mtr dish and on the humax I can get 6 of the sports channels Saudi, Dubai 1 & 2, Bahrain, Youth and Jsc. Also football on AlHayat at the mo, but don't know if its sports all the time. I can get a signal from the Mbc channels but its telling me that the service is not running or scrambled ( don't know if its just the signal that is not strong enough ). I plan to try later with the Technomate - from the snowy Noth East of England.
I'll let you know if the other receiver is better or worse

The MBC package on BADR4 has it's own special footprint which is this one:
_http://www.arabsat.com/ArabSat/English/TheFleet/In-OrbitSatellites/26°+East/MBC-Coverage.htm
Personally i don't think this footprint is very acurate as i get over 60% quality on MBC with my 1.2m dish. I reckon a 1m dish would do if aligned perfectly!

I can confirm MBC 1,2 3,4 etc are ok on a 1m dish near Manchester. The signal is weak (just above the threshold in cloudy weather) but stable. Its not as strong as most of the other 250 channels I get from 26E,

I live on the North Cornwall Coast,3 miles south of Padstow and I get all the MBC channels on 11919@26east,+loads of other channels which have already been itentified in this thread.Strength is 66% and I am using an Orbital 1 metre dish with a 0.3 sharp LNB and a Dreambox7000,which has probably the crappiest tuner in the history of crappy tuners.

I installed my own motorised system and I have never taken any notice of Sat footprints,if you do it right then you will reap the rewards.

If you have dect phones or wireless routers try unpluging and test the signal on MBC ive had many systems give no signal on mbc freq but once turned off phone and router in they came.

Are you guys able to get KBS World fta on 26E ? I'm in the Nottingham area, and have a spare 1m triax that could replace my Sky dish, leaving my other motorised dish for everything else !

Unfortunately I have a very large tree blocking 26E from the motorised dish.

I get nothing here with 1m around 55°north.

But talking about MBC...They list Buffy on MBC Action at 3am, 6am and 3pm. Is that the movie or the series?

no problem with any of these channels on a 1.2m dish with a dreambox 7020 here in warrington, all comming in around 89% signal strength.the drop off for the dreambox is around 72% god knows why its set at that,so they are quite a bit above threshold.
cant get a sniff of fox movies though on 11843H and its supposed to be on the same beam.ian.

i dont think fox movies are on same beam as MBC because on lyngsat it shows MBC has its own footprint. But here in midlands i pick up all the MBC channels at about 65% signal strength but for some reason the signal disappears for about 10 seconds then comes back again.. This happens like once a hour... must be the tuner in the receiver im using (digiquest 6330) although i can view the mbc channels all day.

You are not alone. Normally I get the MBC channels perfectly on my 1m dish near Manchester. I get over 50 - 55% signal. But as you say the signal suddenly drops for a few seconds and then comes back to work fine till the next time. It only happens ocassionally.

1 metre dish ok in Sheffield, using Technomate 6900 super receiver, you must have dish set up properly.

i get 70% signal strength during night and only 54 during daytime on a clear day. not sure if i need to tweak the dish a bit more or is that signal strength what i should be getting on a 1.2 m dish in midlands.

Signal on MBS is strambled at times on 26E even in the area where MBC says an 80cm dish is enough. In fact I use Nilesat to see MBC.

Just tweaked the dish a bit more and get 75% constant signal on MBC channels but still it gives no signal every hour for 10 seconds, dont think there is a fix for that.

bigger the dish the better as the larger dish will have a narrow beamwidth to avoid signal swamping from astra 2 28e
