The Monsoon Cup, held on 3-7 December 2008, is the 9th round of the 2008 World Match Racing Tour. This fourth annual event will be sailed on Pulau Duyong, in the eastern Malaysian state of Terengganu.

The 2008/2009 FIS World Cup started last month in Gaellivare, Sweden. From 22 November to 22 March, the World Cup will visit 17 locations in 11 countries: Sweden, Finland, France, Switzerland, Germany, Czech Republic, Italy, Canada, Estonia, Russia and Norway.

The main champions in 2006/2007 were Aksel Lund Svindal (Norway - 1268 pts) who won the Overall World Cup ahead of Benjamin Raich (Austria - 1255 pts) and Didier Cuche (Switzerland - 1098 pts).

The 2006 finals will be held in Lenzerheide, Switzerland.
