Audio on HD technomate

I received my 6900HD from a mate who is upgrading to the Super model. All the channels that I need are already loaded but I have great picture on AstraHd demo channel and also on the German channel Anixe but no audio. The first time I received a picture on ITV
HD was the boxing match last night but again no audio. On the iCord I can receive picture and audio on the first two mentioned channels but it cannot load the ITV channel into its database. Is there a way around this problem? Any help greatly appreciated. TMULL

What do you have as an external sound system and how is it linked? We have an optical lead between our Samsung TV and Home Cinema kit so we use the DOLBY SPMS setting on the TM 6900 which works very well for us.

As Teassoc states, it depends on your set up audio-wise as well as WHICH TV you have, but there are three settings in the TM Setting Menu - so suggest you try all three if you havent already?
I also assume you are using an HDMI cable from your stb to your telly?:respect-067:

Thank you all for your suggestiond. It was on Dolby-Hmdi but was silent.Changed to Dolby-sdfid and it fixed the problem. Tv is Sony 4000 W and two HD sat boxes connected with hmdi leads.As I said before a great helpful community on here.TMULL
