Hi

I am looking into good advice on changing my setup.

Currently I have the following setup

1 DM7020 connected to a 2.4M motorized dish
1 DM500 connected to a 2.4M motorized dish
1 DM800 connected to 2 1.2M dishes, using DiSEqC capable of 7W, 13E, 16E, and 26E
1 DM800 connected to 2 1.2M dishes, using DiSEqC capable of 7W, 13E, 16E, and 26E
1 Linux VDR connected to 2 1.2M dishes, using DiSEqC capable of 7W, 13E, 16E, and 26E

As you can see I have 10 dishes and 5 receivers (Receivers could increase up to 6).

I want to change my setup to the following

- No motorization
- 8 satellites (7W, 7E, 9E, 13E, 16E, 19.2E, 26E, 28.2E) to ALL my receivers

I've been doing some research, and I've not been able to find a solution that can connect more than 4 receivers as seen below

- 8 Quad LNBs (1 for each satellite position. Of course now I can only connect 4 receivers, I need more)
- 8 4x1 DiSEqC switches (2 for each receiver)
- 4 uncommitted switches (1 for each receiver)

Does anyone know a better way of doing what I want to achieve.

Would a SPAUN S_M_S 17089 NF be a direct answer to my needs?

Thanks in advance

Regards

Align the first 2.4 on 28.2 and the second on 19.2
Use 4 output lnbs on them and route them to a 8 or more outputs multiswitch.
Use the other smaller dishes on each satellite position you are interest and put 8 way lnbs on them.
Use an 8 input diseqc or 10 way .. ( terra , emp centauri )
If u need more details u can catch me on msn :P

Hello Fanous

You ask:

I want to change my setup to the following

No motorization
8 satellites (7W, 7E, 9E, 13E, 16E, 19.2E, 26E, 28.2E) to ALL my receivers

That will be no problem try the 8/1 (Max) or 9/1 (EMP C)

See picture below

Enjoy

For the LNB, you can use octo LNB, they have eight independent outputs (I have 7 satellite outlets for instance). I have Maximum, but just google "octo LNB" and you'll find many brands.

For the switch, you can use uncommitted diseqc switches (that's diseqc level 1.1) that can handle up to 16 LNB (there is a very new 16in/1out EMP switch on the market, most of the others are 8in/1out). By the way, even the EMP mentioned above is really a 8in/1out switch, the ninth input is for terrestrial TV input.

You can use them in connection with diseqc 1.0 (which handles only 4) so you can have 16x4=64 LNB, but you don't really need this, and the EMP 8in/1out switches are relatively cheap and reliable.

However, not any decoder handles diseqc level 1.1 . I don't know about the dreamboxes, you should check your antenna setting and verify if you have a diseqc 1.1 (or uncommitted) setting on every machine you want to connect.

Of course you will need as many diseqc switches as satellite outlets you want to connect.
