I'm about to do some upgrades and I'm going to use WF125 I was just wondering whether its best to use a short section of light cable on the STB end, my thinking is WF125 is heavier and less flexible so puts more strain on the STB input, any thoughts ?

One option is to use an F male to F female 90 degree elbow to reduce any strain.

can i just say that ct 125 is a far better quility than wf 125
only trouble is ct 125 is a lot more exspensice the wf 125
what length are we talking about from dish to receiver

Its not a great distance only about 20m

Raydex CT125 hasn't been produced for a few years now, CT/WF100 would have been totally adequate for up to 30/40m but hey-ho, WF125 it's going to be :)
Use a 90 bend and short fly lead of 100 to the box if it suits, only you know your routing mate.
NB. you'll also need special F connectors for the WF125.

Yeah I new WF125 was probably overkill but its not going to hurt except in my pocket

Don't worry M8 I've got the correct F connectors not totally lost the plot yet :smash:

CT 125 and CT 100 is still made
wf 100 cost about £ 60 for 250 m
ct 100 cost about £ 130 for 250 m
thats why a lot of companys have stop stocking it
and on long runs yes you can tell the differance
at one time i wouldnt use anything else but ct 100
but not at that price
it trebled in price in 6 months a couple of years ago

When I was looking which cable to get I read that Webro WF125 is manufactured by Belden and is their CT125

In any case I have the cable now and the build quality seems great to me not sure in what ways they could improve it further but I guess there are a hundred ways to manufacture cable

yes its very nice quality cable and to the receiver use a short piece of wf100 as the weight of the wf125 cable will damage the f connection on the receiver
