The Whole Town's Talking (Film)
Edward G Robinson plays dual roles in John Ford's crime comedy. He is Arthur Jones, a mild-mannered clerk who happens to be the exact double of escaped gangster 'Killer' Mannion. After being arrested and proving his true identity, Jones is given a 'passport' that will prevent him being re-arrested. But when Mannion hears of this do***ent, he's determined to lay his hands on it - what better way to continue his life of crime? Mistaken identities and double-crosses galore ensue, with Jean Arthur as Jones' co-worker Wilhelmina Clark, who's never quite sure who she's fallen for.
