i've got nabilo 0.5 working with N*S i've installed CCcam2.0.5 i've used the binary and just edited the CCcam config accordingly.

got to tell you though atm i've got gemini 3.80 on the flash so all the functions on nabilo are not there.

can someone tell me how it works with it either on the flash or on the usb.

which one mate?

all you've got to do really, and this is how i did it, on nabilo via addons d/l CCcam 209+newcs1.62

d/l the CCam205 i got mine from the ihad site, and put the CCcam2.0.5 binary in /var/bin.

in /usr/ scriptmenu edit the 2.0.9 file to reference 2.0.5.

and in /var/ect just copy over your own config files.

oh and i for got of course the newcw.xml still goes to /var/tuxbox/config.

then on the DB on EMU's select Newcs1.62+CCcam205, shut down reboot, you might have to scroll bac and forwards to clear the HD channels but uoy only need to do this once.

ok i'm gonna bit the bullet and see if i can get it to work on the flash with the new drivers, i've got a feeling that it might only work with the older drivers.

The files are manual install so make sure you chmod correct
Once done do a full reboot.
Also the listen port may need to be changed in NewCS xml and CCcam.cfg

canthackit
14-12-2008, 06:59 PM
guy's and gals

all you've got to do is load the binary file, enter your "N" line in CCcam.cfg and edit it in newcs.xml chmod 755.

failing that if you've already had CCcam+newcs working and you've got a working CCcam.cfg and newcs.xml all you need to do is load the binary file, and reboot.

canthackit
14-12-2008, 08:28 PM
if you already have a configured CCcam.cfg file and a configured newcs.xml no

i think you'll find the files self explanetary, put CCcam_205 in /var/bin and chmod 755
put the script file in usr/camscript and chmod 755

on CCcam.cfg if you dont already have an "N" line make one up dont forget to remove the # then on the newcs file if you use the one posted all you do is enter your "N" line user and pass and port and chmod 755 this as well make sure the port is forwarded if need be.
then press the blue button on the remote scroll left ot right select the softcam however its' listed and ok it, you might have to reboot.

if everything has been working with your cccam.cfg and newcs.xml then no, all you need to do is put the bin file in usr/bin and put the script file in usr/camscript, when you've done that make sure all files are in place and chmoded 755 go to the DB press blue button scroll the the cam and ok it give it about a minute or so and it'll clear, if you cant get a picture on 28.2E in HD just jump back or forwards, i mean with the remote of course not you personaly.#

good luck mate.

hi
I rearrange the files to be able to more easily understand
all u have to do is send the files to dreambox

open DCC

send files
CCcam_205
newcs_162
to USR/BIN - attributs = 755

send file -Ncam_NewCS1.62_CCcam2.0.5.sh
to USR/CAMSCRIPT - attributs = 755

send file - CCcam.cfg
to ETC - attributs = 644

send file - newcs.xml
to ETC/TUXBOX/CONFIG - attributs = 755

reboot your dreambox
them go to blue panel and start CCcam2.0.5
all should work fine

Tried x5's files and instructions and could'nt get it to work with black hole 0.5. So I tried a combination of x5's files and canthackit's instructions and got it working.

Used the config files I've used for every other image successfully (which are available on this board), created a config folder for newcs.xml, which wasnt there in x5's info, and used all but the config files x5 posted. Also set attributes as sujested.

Do seem to be having an issue with PPV HD channels pixelating constantly, i.e s*y sport HD etc. Thought it might be the wind but stuck BBC HD on and it was fine, signal/snr the same level for both the channels. It only seems to happen with the HD channels and not the SD ones. Could this be the config files I am using? Never happened before with cccam 2.0.9 & newcs 1.60b. Also got the latest bootloader installed.

Guys, not to dis anyones work here but I doubt very much anyone will have any luck with the above file as the IP address of the N line in CCcam.cfg is wrong

N: 192.168.0.4 15000 cccam cccam 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

of course if the card is served locally then the IP address should always be 127.0.0.1

TBH the the newcs.xml is a bit of a mess also  so I've attached a neat and tidy one below for the 800 :) now if you use this one and replace your N line with this one you should be good to go

N: 127.0.0.1 11000 local local 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

With this config you should should also be able to connect with your browser to the NewCS webif and check your entitlements etc.

http://yourdreamboxip:8080

username = newcs
pssword = newcs

A little tip when doing this stuff is to always use a fixed IP address on your dreambox and not DHCP.

Oh yes, I don't actually use cccam as I prefer MGcamd so if you use that your line in Mg's newcamd.list should be as below.

CWS = 127.0.0.1 11000 local local 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 lan newcs

Have fun :)

My dreambox ip is 192.168.0.4 so the file was packed using my working files ;)

The problem with this is that if ppl are using DHCP then on next boot the dreambox may get a different IP which in turn will cause cccam not to be able to connect to the card !

That's why it's always better to use the local loop 127.0.0.1 ;)

Hi Sonic1 and Canthackit,

This is a great piece of work and works in my Dm8000 on internal card reader - bottom slot only. Which line do I need to edit to get it to work in both top and bottom slots. I am aware of an edit on Gbox, there must be an equivalent which changes a Dm800 to a DM8000 ?

Secondly I would recommend that anybody using the Dreambox IP (in the 2 files that require editing CCCam.cfg and NewsCS.xml) switches of DHCP in the Dreambox and fixes the IP address. CCCam stpped working for me twice because DHCP changed the IP address of my DM8000 which was driving me nuts.

In the newcs.xml you need to specify upper and lower readers or device.
Here is a copy of a default xml which should give you an idea.

- <device>
<name>SCI Lower Slot</name>
<type>sci</type>
<mhz>368</mhz>
<node>/dev/sci0</node>
<parity>odd</parity>
<reset>normal</reset>
<export>Yes</export>
<enabled>Yes</enabled>
<blocksa>No</blocksa>
<blockua>No</blockua>
<blockga>No</blockga>
<blockC0>Yes</blockC0>
<carddetect>no</carddetect>
<newcamd_port>15000</newcamd_port>
<autosid>Yes</autosid>
<pincode>0000</pincode>
<priority>round</priority>
</device>

- <device>
<name>SCI Upper Slot</name>
<type>sci</type>
<mhz>368</mhz>
<node>/dev/sci1</node>
<parity>odd</parity>
<reset>normal</reset>
<export>Yes</export>
<enabled>Yes</enabled>
<blocksa>No</blocksa>
<blockua>No</blockua>
<blockga>No</blockga>
<blockC0>Yes</blockC0>
<carddetect>no</carddetect>
<newcamd_port>15000</newcamd_port>

<pincode>0000</pincode>
<priority>round</priority>

Hi Sonic 1, thanks.

A couple of questions.

Does this mean I can the block of text between device and /device and insert it beneath the existing lower slot block but edit 'lower" to "upper" in the inserted block of program lines ?

I notice that the freq in my file is 358 rather than 368mhz. Is this significant or not ?

I don't quite follow your question sorry, but I will try and answer it.

If you want both slots to work just copy and past what I have posted into your NewCs xml or copy and paste your existing device details and just add the line I have highlighted in red.

Here is a quote from an original xml

valid value for mhz are:
153(1.53mhz), 358(3.58mhz), 368(3,68Mhz), 450(4.5mhz), 536(5.36mhz), 600(6.00mhz), 715(7.15 mhz), 800(8.00mhz)
1000(10.00 mhz), 1071(10.71mhz), 1200 (12.00mhz), 1431(14.31 mhz), 1600 (16.00mhz)
This setting is now IMPORTANT, normal phoenix usually have 3.57mhz, and can usually be overclocked
to 6mhz. For the others you probably need extra crystal (be careful).

Thank you guys for all your input.
I got it working using the file that was posted by Sonic1, then edited both CCcam.cfg and newcs.xml as he stated in post '57' perfect:respect-055:

For those not struggling on these channels with a card, but having pausing problems on cs, cccam 2.0.3 might offer more success, though 2.05 is definitely a lot better than all the new versions...
