What is TM Softcams?

I have a Technomate TM6800HD with the original software and in addition I have patched it now with the downloaded software.
But do I need the TM Softcams also?? What does it do?

Not clear that you have patched it using latest Compass patch - there is one out for today in the file section. You need to ensure you update using the correct file for your machine!

Need that on before adding the latest TM softcam. The TMSoftcam gives you the latest codes.
