dm 500 freezing

My m8s dm 500 has frozen.I have installed eagle v4 on flash but he never gave me the remote.Does this image have cccam 2.0.9 installed or will I have to flash it with pli jade image which has it already installed.I should say that after flashing with the eagle image it boots up okay to the set up page.I do not want to go to his house and find out the cccam is not in the eagle image.

Never tried to flash my 500 with an eagle image and don't think I ever will.
Why not use a dreambox image ?

He has a motorised system and the eagle image downloads keys.I thought this would be a better image.If you have any advice about another image I would welcome your advice because he will always be coming back to me to fix it.A stable image would save me a lot of hassle.

No image has cccam installed.

With the Eagle you can install cccam from the server, takes a few seconds only. Obvioulsy you need the remote control to do all the setting up.

You won't get far without a remote.

But with some images you can do most things through a PC connected via a LAN and DreamboxManagerSuite

Set up with eagle v4 image my m8 came round with the remote then I set up ip addresses and downloaded channel list and he told me his c line.Everything working spot on.

I am newbee and just receiving my 500s. Been reading various tutorials here and there, and a bit confused with all these images. I have 4 fixed dishes. What image do you receommend which would be say less hassle, and also please be knid enough to give me any site which would support that particular image as well.

All images have their pluses and minuses, the only image you MUST avoid is Gemini as it could destroy your box.

Select any image mentioned above - eg Eagle, Nabilo, etc - and google for the best support site.

Does anyone have a link for channel settings for just 28.2 east.I put on a full channel list for my m8 but he only wants 28.2 channel list .Any help much appreciated.
