Premiere and Polsat are no longer available, the only EPL, with a patched receiver, is Digi TV, 1W, apart from Nova, Prima TV Cze and Eurosport 2 both show some games.

The football channels on 1w are not showing the man utd vs west brom game tomorrow so is there any chance now of clearing a hotbird channel for example on a 1500 ci?

for example "sport 1 ned" on 19e 12515 h 22000 5/6

thx.

no m8 , just the 1w channels , not a lot to choose from on these boxes with the patches

c+ has it with a diablo or an m2 plus card on 1w

the holes have been well and truly plugged on 13e and 19e ;)

bummer not even something on 30w then?

echelon
26-01-2009, 01:14 PM
yes its on 30w but again you need a subbed card since they went nagra 3 over 14 months ago , like premiere and polsat did

as I said , little choice now apart from 1w unless you have a subbed card for premiere or d+ or cabo or sly italia or one of the other providers

To be honest mate 1w normally does us at the moment for football but do you know roughly how long it will still be here for?

we had a art card a few years back and that was quite good.

I think digi tv will change to nagra 3 like the rest have done , so how long is a piece of string ??

as thats what you are asking

every day is a bonus , but I dont think it will be open for much longer

Have you got an official card then?

ummmm.........well yes,.......you could say that. :respect-056:

The future seems to be linux boxes these days m8, so maybe have a look into them.

think outside the box m8

lets say "someone" will have the official card , you just dont know who that "someone" may be ;)

and take note of the last answer in post 11 , which is extremely relevant , but not to the tm1000 boxes

I was getting a bit carried away m8 in what I was saying :) It's because I enjoy my box too much, something different appears almost every day. :D

have a look in the technomate 9100 section , or the dreambox sections , or possibly a few other forums on here if you need more info on linux boxes

bear in mind its a steep learning curve on those boxes , and you need broadband access with a router to make better use of them

Oh right so it is not an easy thing to get into then?

It depends really, some people learn quicker/better than others do. It does require time and patience but the return is great, but no it's not a 5 mintute job.

It works by streaming tv over the net then?

I see theres a 9100 on fleabay at the moment for about 140

i should be ok I think cause i got an msc in a computing subject.

It works by sharing cards over a LAN. If it's setup (properly), there isn't many channels between 45e to 45w that won't open. ;)

Would I need to reconfigure my sat dish at all? Also is it easier knowing someone locally or something that has one already? Would you need a very high upload speed on your isp?

If you have a motorised dish now then you don't need to touch it. You will need to learn by reading up about it on the internet, I very much dout your find someone locally who has it setup. No high upload speed no, just broadband, no dial up.

would the 9100 technomate be a good one to get? and also would my local satellite shop be able to set it up for me if I come into any difficulties?

cheers again.

But you say it is alot harder to setup than my current 1500ci for example? could you give me a few reasons why it is? thanks

TM 9100 is a good box to get. As for any help/info on the CS subject, your confined to the internet only. Your not suppose to do CS m8 so I really would not start getting people locally involved in it.

standard broadband will work just fine , but you need a router as well , then set the box up with a static ip turning off the dhcp

the images will work in diseqc so switches , motors or static dishes will work just fine , so if you already have a standard system for the tm1500 you can easily use the tm9100

there was one for sale on toes in the for sale section , with built in hdd for less than that

its got nothing to do with streaming over the net although I suppose some will do that if they have superfast broadband

the images vary and require the owner to deal with the box , no sat shop would get involved as its up to the individual what he does with the box. so its a diy job using your pc and ftp programs through your lan and router into the box

the tm1500 is a simple patch and tmsoftcam into the box job , takes about a minute to do both , job done

the tm9100 or dreamboxes are running linux as an os so treat them as you would a pc , much more involved

try reading the tm9100 forum and see if any of it is understood or not

So this is definitely the future then and we dont have to worry about encryptions etc.? can you even clear and cricket? sounds very interesting.

you will clear whatever channels the paid for subscription cards can clear , like you did with your art card , so if the paid for card gets the cricket then the answer would be yes

the problem is gaining access to those paid for cards , wink ;)

ie- the box wont do it on its own , so the box will clear the same as your tm1500 can clear using patches , its when you can add "extras" like cs over broadband that the world opens up , but how you manage that is against forum rules , so you will have to use your imagaination on that score

as I said earlier , think "outside the box" , and dont expect a simple guide to all this , sit down and think through what ppl have said , and more importantly what they havent said
