About a year ago i sucessfully downloaded and installed the UK and Northern Island map 705.1480 on to my TomTom go300 running V 7.161and have had no problems, even using mapshare to update occasionally
I have just used TomTom home to try and update the map again but i also let it download all the latest available updates at the same time.

The version is now updated to 7.903 and the map is no longer being recognised.
Because i use a 2 mb card, i had loaded the map alongside the origional V562.0 and could switch between either map on the device if i wished, but although the newer map is still obviously on the card, the device is telling me there is only the old map there and that is the one that is working

Please can you tell me is there a way of getting the newer map to be recognised and work again?
Thanks

Are you using an original software version or a copied / patched version ?

the map was copied using the keygen as detailed on here at the time, dont think i needed to use the patcher

I didn't ask you about the map, where did you get the software (Navcore) for your tomtom - did you get it directly from an upgrade through tomtom or are you using a patched copy ?
If you are using an original copy of the software you will need to patch the software & then use the easyusetool to activate the map, if using a patched software you still need to activate the map.

the version of navcore i had previously upgraded to- 7.161 (8491/081107) os:2326 and was working fine with the map was (i think) a tomtom download. The memory card still shows a patch as being present.
The latest navcore that is causing problems was downloaded via tomtom home and is 7.903 (9183/081205) os 2344

That is why it is not working for you - because you are now using an original software. The previous patch showing was for the previous software - not the new software.
I've got a tool that should patch it for you (& any other original navcore versions), but I had not been able to try it out myself yet :-

Unfortunately when the tool is downoaded it doesnt seem to install properly on my pc?
when clicking on the downloaded desktop icon to run the patcher, it says failed to initialise properly

If you cant get that tool to work you'll have to use a ready patched software version - there's some posted in this section.
