View Full Version : DB 800 Booting stopped?
Hi every body! GOOD NEW YEAR!
I'm new with DB, I ve gott a DB 800 recently, I went through internet via nabilosat succeed to install nabil pure flash with BA. Then tried to install BLACK HOLE 6, used DCC transfered the image file to MG- folder, then tried to get install Black hole with BA ******, gott extract and installed, when wanted to reboot, it did it but stucked in the middle of booting waited 2-3 hours, didn't work. Then tried to reflash again....now I want to get black hole installed, how can I do that, I ve deleted the file from MG-folder and in the box. I'm geussing did a mistake with the copy file or some thing like that...can any body help me and showing the step by step install of black hole to DB 800 HD to multiboot by DCC.

Once you have pure flash installed you need to do a full reboot of your box, then when you have done that connect DCC and go to ftp
Towards the bottom you will see MB_Images double click this and in the commander window the directory should read /media/usb/MB_images If it does you are in the correct directory.
Next step is to ftp the extracted image you wish to install,
You want NabiloBlackHole_DM800_06.nfi
Now ftp the file across.
Next go to Barry Allen in the plugin menu and select the second option ****** for MB Imgages.
Next select the third option which is to extract nfi image.
Once toy have done this you can select the image to boot.

in FTP there is a MB_Images **** /media/hdd/MB_images like that , with double click it doesn't open? What should I do now?

Here are a couple of screen shots to show you where to ftp.
You are using HDD instead of USB, it will still work the same except running your image from the HDD is not the best option.

I'm getting exact like that, when double clicking on MB-image it doesnt opened? not jumping to the pluging command? there is no place to copy file to?

Just had the same problem as you go into ba->/media/ba and then into MB_Images and put file in there

Done now! but I'm in the same stage as yesteriday, I went like this, clicked on black hole on BA at the start up, waiting booting? it took long time without ending 2-3 hr, now stucked again booting? how long I have to wait? Its borring mate to do the same thing again!!

You haven’t installed BH yet you need to do what kegnkiwi posted here
Heres what else you need to do. This info is from team allsats. Bas young.
ftp over your secondary image to (should see the files in the root directory) MB_IMAGES….best to rename the image, if you have the same image on the flash
to actually get the image working, (install via barry allen) select the barry allen plugin, (on nabilo images..its green button…select Barry Allen….then select, ****** FOR IMAGES AT /MB_IMAGES
on the next screen, select…OPTION THREE,,,,EXTRACT NFI IMAGE FROM MB_IMAGES
you should now see the image that you ftp,d over to the unit, select it,
Barry ALLEN will now activate the image, you will see a reassuring message
"DON'T PANIC" (I did )
after about 3 minutes, the unit will reboot, and is a bit slower on start up

Now its stuck again on booting, its more than 30 min now? what is the mistake I ve done the same which your describing and its the 2nd time since yesterday?????

Before we go any further you MUST have Nabilo_DM800_PureFlash29DEC08 in the flash in the dreambox (not USB)
After the first boot it will ask you if you want to install Barry Allen say yes when it is done open DCC and FTP secondary image NabiloBlackHole_DM800_06 into /media/usb/MB_images

I have reinstalled the pure flash many times, I don't know if its in the USB or in the dreambox ( how can I know?) the USB stick was in every time I installed the pure flash... the rest I ve done such u describing?

Unplug your HDD, reflash the pure flash with you USB installed, Only plug your HDD back in when you are sorted.
I ve installed with dreamup .
What u mean by reflash with USB installed?? did u mean that reflash without USB in, I ve flashe with USB previously.

Plug USB stick in, unplug HDD
Re flash via web browser as it takes a few minutes not a like time like dreamup
I cann't do that with web browser? does it need to connected to internet? or just FTP cable same like doing with DCC?

Now its done flashing by browser? what I suppose to do? I ve gott black hole remain with the start up , should I select it this time?
Its the same booting now is 15 min with a black hole? I ve gott 128 MB linux formated USB with? Is it the USB? or what? I'm tired pls help?

m8 make sure u first install pure flash direct on dreambox using webinterface
after just follow the screen instructions and u will be able to install barry allen
let the box do the job dont rush dreambox will them reboot with barry screen panel..
make sure u have a original dreambox not a clone if u have a dreambox clone this image its not for u
u need to use a image with bootloader69 like nabilo image V5

tray with nabilo V5 image if u dont have the same boot prob u may have a clone box

X5 how can I find if i have bootloader69 or 70? and what is nabilo image v5???

Unplug box wait then plug back in it will say 69 or 70 on the front of box but you will have to be quick it don’t stay there long
Nabilo image v5 is the one before v6 the one you are trying to install now

Tried many times! the nabilo pure flash image is working ok, BA working. Tried both black holes v5 and v6 no one worked??? what is the problem???? Any other solutions????:bowing-036:

May be its your USB stick if you want to use NabiloBlackHole_DM800_06 and not multi boot then just flash NabiloBlackHole_DM800_06 over your web browser and use from flash instead of USB to see if that works.

If install nabilo blackhole v6 direct to the flash, does it work same like when it in the multiboot what is the different?

You will only have NabiloBlackHole_DM800_06 on your flash you will not have the opportunity to use other images from USB, But you can go into plugging and download Barry Allen from there
